WATCH: This Cork man has created his own very special short film tribute to Star Wars
When The Wind That Shakes the Barley meets Star Wars.
May the 4th be with you and all that. With the Star Wars tributes flying around from all corners of the globe, you'll go a long way to find one as dedicated and polished as this effort by a Cork superfan.
Michael Fitzgerald, an aerospace engineer, trained actor and racing car driver (class!), has, along with Cork Racing, created this fantastic short film called Stormtroopers.
Stormtroopers is a story of an ATAT Stormtrooper Platoon shot down behind Rebel lines and features Micheal Fitzgerald himself, along with Australian Toby Bajrovic.
Directed by Anouk Ratnawibhushana, this is the best use of a Cork accent in a film since the Wind That Shakes the Barley.
In all seriousness, this is really well put together, with a cracking backing track and a great monologue at the end.
For all you Star Wars fans, this is well worth a look.
