This sounds like a nightmare.

AA Roadwatch has reported "extremely long delays" on the M50 across Monday morning (17 December). At one point, traffic got so bad that it would have taken two hours to travel the M50 northbound. AA's most recent update (09:48) reports that there is a travel time of one hour on the M50 northbound. The delays set in after a collision on the motorway, which required emergency services on the scene, resulting in the lengthy delays. Though the collision has been cleared, it is being reported that "extremely long delays remain". https://twitter.com/aaroadwatch/status/1074600499905744902 Recently, An Garda Síochána has deployed more speedy vans on busy stretches of road, such as the M7, in order to prevent the delays and traffic that result from collisions — often caused by speeding.
