The modified Nissan Micra ‘Shorty’ for sale on DoneDeal is the pinnacle of Irish car manufacturing

Trust us, you will want one

Japan gave the world the trusty Nissan Micra but it’s taken an Irishman to take it to the next level.

Introducing the Nissan Micra ‘shorty’, the very latest in farmyard, smart car sleek.

How much do you want one?

Its creator, Ciarán Kelly, has explained the key features on his Done Deal advert:

“Basically it’s a ’99 four door micra one litre with the middle chopped out and joined back up… 28 inches have been cut out of the middle without going near the gear linkage or petrol tank so no major parts have been touched.

“Front and rear doors cut and joined together.”

Ciarán goes on to explain the genius of the design that does away with the need for front seats, “because you’re driving from the rear seats.”

Why didn’t we think of that?

Sadly, Ciarán has removed his advert from DoneDeal, presumably because the Shorty has been snapped up. Too bloody late again.
