While it can sometimes feel like the only time we get decent action anymore is when it involves superheroes (not that we're complaining), or involves drivers getting fast and/or furious (again, no complaints), that won't be the case this summer.
Black Panther himself Chadwick Boseman plays a NYPD cop in new action thriller 21 Bridges, and he gets caught up in a heist-gone-wrong, and makes the big decision to lock down the island of Manhattan to make sure a pair of cop-killers can't escape the island.
However, as is so often the case in movies like this, there is a lot more to this case than meets the eye...
A stellar supporting cast is overseen by Irish director Brian Kirk (he's directed some big episodes of Luther and Game Of Thrones), with a script from the folks behind World War Z and Deepwater Horizon, while Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo are on board as executive producers.
Mostly, we're just happy to see some down and gritty action again. Bring it on!
