Amazon Prime Video quietly adds 22 huge movies to its library

Rory Cashin

Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has just added loads of new comedies, thrillers, action epics and more.

There is definitely something here for everyone, including some Amazon Prime Video exclusives!

THE BUCKET LIST

Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman play two terminally ill men who escape from their cancer ward and head off on an adventure to do all the things they’ve always wanted to do before passing away.

CLOUD ATLAS

From the makers of The Matrix, we get Tom Hanks and Halle Berry heading up an all-star cast in this complicated sci-fi drama set across six different timelines.

CORPSE BRIDE

Tim Burton directs this fantastic stop-motion animation comedy with voice work from Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.

CREED III

One of the best sports movies of the decade, added exclusively to Amazon Prime Video.

DUE DATE

The director of The Hangover movies pairs Robert Downey Jr. with Zach Galifianakis for this somewhat funny road trip comedy.

HIT & RUN

A man (Dax Shepard) in the witness protection programme risks his safety in order to save his girlfriend (Kristen Bell). A very average comedy.

JACK THE GIANT SLAYER

The gritty action reimagining of the classic Beanstalk tale sees Nicolas Hault try to take on some big monsters in the sky. It is … quite bad, actually.

JOHNNY MNEMONIC

Before he became a sci-fi star in The Matrix, Keanu Reeves starred in this TERRIBLE techno-thriller.

JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND

The Rock replaced Brendan Fraser for this family friendly action adventure.

THE LUCKY ONE

Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling feature in this rom-dram from the writer of The Notebook.

MAGIC MIKE / MAGIC MIKE XXL

The first two entries in the “Hunky men take their clothes off for a living” franchise. They’re both actually really good movies.

MAN OF STEEL

Turning ten years old this week, the first entry in the now-previous version of the DC movie universe had the perfectly cast Henry Cavill become Superman. Some of these characters return for the big screen version of The Flash, arriving in cinemas this week.

MURDER BY NUMBERS

Sandra Bullock and a very young Ryan Gosling star in this serial killer thriller.

NEIGHBOURS / NEIGHBOURS 2: SORORITY RISING

Both of the entries in this living-next-to-the-party-from-hell movies are now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. They’re both quite funny.

THE NOTEBOOK

Ryan Gosling (again) and Rachel McAdams star in this adored romantic drama.

THE QUIET

A trashy psychological thriller with Elisha Cuthbert and Camilla Belle as two members of a family from hell.

SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE

A legendarily cheesy horror movie. Perfect Friday night viewing.

SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET

Tim Burton again, directing Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter again, this time in a live-action adaptation of the violent musical.

WARCRAFT

This wanted to be the next Lord Of The Rings. It didn’t reach those giddy heights, but there definitely is some fun to be found here.

YES MAN

Jim Carrey’s very successful comedy about a man who has his life turned upside down when he literally starts saying “Yes” to everything.
