Somebody wake up Huell and tell him the good news.
Breaking Bad fans, better get ready to clear your schedules for later this year because AMC have announced a release date for the highly anticipated spin-off, featuring the one and only Saul Goodman, the incredibly corrupt yet charming lawyer who featured heavily in Vince Gilligan’s original creation.
Gossip about the follow-up involving the Jewish/Irish character played by Bob Odenkirk had been doing the rounds for months before it was confirmed that it was actually happening late last year and AMC have now confirmed that it will be released in November of this year, although they have yet to decide on a specific date.
The show will apparently focus on the evolution Goodman’s character before he ever became Walter White’s lawyer and while not as dark as Breaking Bad (which would be hard, in fairness), it will reportedly feature a lot more light-hearted moments, no surprise to anyone familiar with the show and the character in the past.
Netflix and Sony Pictures have already confirmed that the show will be available exclusively to streaming members in Ireland and the UK shortly after its airing in the US so it looks set to provide hours and hours of entertainment in the run-up to next Christmas.
Just like Huell, we can’t wait…
