We see you, Ayo.

The Bear star and celebrated Irish acting legend Ayo Edebiri gave a subtle nod to her adopted homeland during her hosting duties on Saturday Night Live this week.

The American actress, who has been claimed by Ireland after a joke of hers went viral last year, has given several shout-outs to us over here on her recent awards ceremony run.

The 28-year-old comedian hosted the legendary US sketch show for the first time this week and some viewers were quick to spot a subtle-ish nod to Ireland on one of her outfits.

During one of her monologues on the show, the Emmy award-winner donned a white t-shirt with her name on it, above a green four-leafed clover – a nod to the running joke.

The initial joke started after a Letterboxd interview of Edebiri went viral, in which she claimed she played Jenny the Donkey in The Banshees of Inisherin.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Emmy Awards last month, the topic of Ireland was brought up to Edebiri, to which she replied by saying: “Shout out to my people. Shout out to Derry, shout out to Cork, shout out to Killarney, shout out to Dublin.”

During her monologue for SNL, Edebiri got emotional after explaining it was always a dream of hers to be on the long-running comedy show.

“I’m so excited to be here. SNL means so much to me. This really is a dream come true,” Edebiri said, fighting back tears.

“Genuinely, I am so excited for tonight,” she added. “I came up in the New York comedy scene with some of my best friends, who I am so blessed to be working with here tonight, and it really truly feels like a homecoming.”

We wish nothing but the best for our Irish queen.
