This Welsh comedian has landed the slot on the long-running panel show…

JOE loves a good comedy panel show but the key to a good comedy panel show is the host. One of our favourite panel shows is undoubtedly Never Mind The Buzzcocks but back in the good old days when Mark Lamarr and Simon Amstell were presenting. Two hilarious, sharp-tongued boys.

Since Amstell left back in 2008, the show has used guest hosts instead of one regular presenter but the BBC are going back to one full-time presenter for the upcoming 28th series, it’s none other than Welsh funny-man Rhod Gilbert

Rhod said: “It’s a great honour to be asked to take the reins full time and to hang out with Noel and Phill, and I’m equally excited and nervous about adding my name to those who have hosted it in the past.”

Filming on the new series begins later this year and while Rhod is a pretty funny guy, if he can get near Amstell, he’ll be doing a hell of a job…
