“Have you ever used a lie detector before?”
He has, you know.
Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro were on hand to wow the audience on this week’s edition of Saturday Night Live, reenacting a famous scene from Meet The Parents in the process.
SNL’s opening segment saw Kate McKinnon transformed as US Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Beck Bennett in the role of Vice President Mike Pence, trying to desperately regroup following an FBI raid.
Enter the surprise reveal of Ben Stiller as Trump-approved lawyer Michael Cohen and so far it’s political-skewering business as usual, despite the star power on display.
Three minutes into the below clip, however, Stiller comes face to face with a ghost from the past…

…in the form of Robert De Niro’s former Director of the FBI Robert Mueller, who proceeds to strap Stiller in to a very familiar and awkward situation.
From there, the pair ratchet up the tension as they did 18 years ago, getting in the inevitable reference to cat nipples while taking aim at the 45th President of the United States.
Tremendous make-up job on De Niro, too, it must be said.
The episode also marked a huge personal and professional milestone for comedian John Mulaney, who returned to the show to take hosting duties having previously enjoyed a five-year stint on the writing staff.
