movies on TV

It’s Thursday.

There’s not a whole lot else to be doing in this these long nights, so why not watch a movie?

Or read a book? Or start a journal? Or talk with a friend?

All of the above are viable options so pick one and give it a go.

Here’s the pick of the movies on TV this evening.

Non-Stop – Film4 – 6.50pm

Liam Neeson is an action star again, this time on a plane.

On The Town – BBC Four – 8pm

One for the musical lovers.

Fun-loving sailors Gabey Chip and Ozzie have 24 hours of shore leave in New York City, and they want to make every second count.

It’s got 93% on Rotten Tomatoes so… there are worse ways to spend your time.

The Post – Film4 – 9pm

Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Sarah Paulson and Bob Odenkirk star in this brilliant film which recounts what went on in the Washington Post before, during and after the Pentagon Papers saga.

Blade Runner 2049 – ITV4 – 9pm

Made 35 years after the first movie but set 30 years after the events within that first movie.

It’s more of a viewing experience, so make sure to watch it on the biggest and best TV you have.

Kevin and Perry Go Large – Comedy Central – 9pm

Spin-off of the popular television series sees Kevin and Perry go on a holiday and try to be famous rock stars while seeking girlfriends.

One critic wrote at the time: “The TV series was hiliarious…this is just damn embarrassing.”

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
