It’s Wednesday… we think.

It’s a tough and lonely time, so look out for one another. Here’s some handy numbers that may be of use to you or someone you know.

  • Samaritans: 116 123
  • Aware: 1800 804 848
  • Pieta House: 1800 247 247
  • Jigsaw: 1800 544729
  • Alone: 0818 222 024
  • Childline: 1800 666 666

Here, meanwhile, are the best of the movies on TV this evening.

Stargate – Film4 – 6.40pm

An action epic which would likely appeal to fans of Indiana Jones and the like.

James Spader and Kurt Russell star.

The Post – Film4 – 9pm

Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Sarah Paulson and Bob Odenkirk star in this brilliant film, which recounts what went on in the Washington Post before, during and after the Pentagon Papers saga.

Bridget Jones’s Baby – RTÉ One – 9.35pm

The third instalment of the franchise and much better than the second one.

Pale Rider – ITV2 – 10pm

A 1985 American Western film produced and directed by Clint Eastwood, which sees the man doing what he does best.

Terminator Genisys – Film4 – 11.20pm

This one is a tough sell.

Has all the ingredients to be good. An established franchise, Emilia Clarke at the height of her Game of Thrones fame, and Arnie.

But it’s just not good.
