Movies on TV

It’s Wednesday.

Sure there’s worse things to do on a Wednesday night than sit down and watch a movie.

Let’s take a gawk at what’s on the box a little later.

Goldfinger – ITV4 – 6.45pm

A classic Bond movie.

“Actually a good film to watch” – My brother.

Van Wilder: Party Liaison – Comedy Central – 9pm

Ryan Reynolds spends an inordinate amount of time in college.

And he wasn’t even playing Fitzgibbon Cup.

Murder on the Orient Express – Film4 – 9pm

Detective Hercule Poirot, a famous creation of Agatha Christie, has to solve a murder on a moving train.

Die Hard 2 – ITV4 – 10pm

Not the one in Nakatomi Plaza, but Bruce Willis enjoys another good outing as the wisecracking cop John McClane.

This time he kills bad guys at an airport.

I Am Greta – BBC Two – 11.15pm

A film following Greta Thunberg as she tries to get action taken to stop climate change before it’s too late.

Trespass Against Us – Film4 – 11.15pm

A family/crime drama with a satisfying double act in Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
