Knee-deep in the working week we may be, but we’re living for our couch in the evenings so we can sneak in some sweet, sweet movies on TV.

Don’t listen to the news, it will only put a downer on things.

The pick of the movies tonight sees Ryan Gosling play a stuntman/getaway driver who puts himself on the wrong side of the law for the woman he loves.

The Day After Tomorrow – Channel 5 – 10pm

Damn nature, you scary!

Gangster Squad – ITV4 – 10.30pm

Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling headline a great cast in an old-timey gangster movie in an effort that really should have been better than the final product.
