There’s a storm coming.

It’s very likely that you will be spending this evening inside due to the presence of Storm Ellen.

But what will you do?

Well, if you’re looking for movies, we’ve got you sorted because here are the best movies on TV this evening.

The Simpsons Movie – Film4 – 2.45pm

While it can’t compare to the best episodes of the show, it is certainly much better than the second half of the TV series.

Everest – Film4 – 6.40pm

A tale of tragedy and survival from the top of Mount Everest.

Quite a good cast.

We’re The Millers – ITV2 – 9pm

A perfectly watchable comedy about a small-time pot dealer who enlists the services of a fake ‘family’ to help him smuggle drugs across the border from Mexico to the United States.

Jason Sudekis and Jennifer Aniston star.

Apollo 13 – ITV4 – 9pm

Based on the true story of the Apollo 13 mission.

Add Tom Hanks, Ed Harris and Bill Paxton into the mix and you’ve got yourself a good movie.

The Hatton Garden Heist – Film4 – 9pm

The story of one of the most audacious heists in British history.

It got eviscerated by critics.

Scary Movie 2 – Comedy Central – 9pm

The opening scene contains James Woods recreating the famous scene from The Exorcist… except he gets horny.

It sort of sets the tone for the rest of the movie.

Darkest Hour – RTÉ One – 9.35pm

Leo Varadkar has quoted him enough over the past few months, so now you get a chance to see a dramatic version of Winston Churchill in action.

Churchill, played by Gary Oldman, is faced with the choice of signing a peace treaty with Hitler, or continuing the fight.

May or may not contain a famous speech.

Sexy Beast – Film4 – 10.50pm

A retired gangster, Gal, leaves behind his life of disrepute until his intimidating ex-boss employs threats and negotiations to compel Gal to accept the responsibility of carrying out one last heist.

Great cast featuring Ben Kingsley, Ian McShane and Ray Winstone.

Ali – ITV4 – 11.35pm

An Academy-award nominated Will Smith plays the legendary Muhammad Ali in one of his better performances.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
