Stay at home unless for essential reasons.

It’s Monday, the first Monday of 2021.

It’s a challenging time for many and we want you to know that if you’re feeling low, that’s perfectly OK.

Here’s some handy numbers that may be of use to you or others.

Here are the best movies on the box this evening…

Wonder Woman – ITV2 – 6.15pm

After some iffy outings for DC, this is a genuinely good film which manages to navigate the tricky line between comedy and romantic adventure.

Double Jeopardy – More4 – 9pm

So double jeopardy means that you cannot be charged with the same crime twice.

Ashley Judd is wrongly jailed for her husband’s murder, so she sets out to find the truth… and possibly revenge.

Could take it or leave it.

Sherlock Holmes – Sky One – 9pm

This provided a surprisingly good end to 2009 when it was released. Stars Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr.

Forrest Gump – Film4 – 9pm

“Life is like a box chocolates…”

The Bourne Identity – RTÉ2 – 9.30pm

Ireland’s Matt Damon beats the shit out of a lot of people as he struggles to remember his past.

The Railway Man – TG4 – 9.30pm

Colin Firth meets his World War II torturer many years later. Not a bad movie by any stretch but it is a competitive night for movies.

The Waterboy – ITV4 – 10pm

Adam Sandler comedy. You’ve probably heard someone quoting it.
