“IT’S FRIDAY THEN IT’S SATURDAY, SUNDAY WHAT?!”

Let’s take a look at the best movies on TV tonight.

Spy – E4 – 9pm

Spy spoof comedy starring Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne and Jude Law.

Full disclosure, I haven’t seen this one. But it has gotten great reviews, has a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is described as a lot of fun.

Suicide Squad – ITV2 – 9pm

A squad of criminals with special skills is assembled to fight a supernatural force in New York.

All a bit meh.

Red Heat – Film4 – 9pm

A buddy cop movie which sees Arnold Schwarzenegger teaming up with an arrogant detective to take down a drug ring.

Plus, Arnie’s character name is Ivan Darko.

Stagecoach – TG4 – 9.15pm

Western starring John Wayne.

The Specialist – RTÉ2 – 9.40pm

Sylvester Stallone plays an explosives expert hired by Sharon Stone to get revenge on a drugs cartel which killed her family.

Also contains a pretty woeful sex scene.
