The Big Reviewski Ep 43 is a Scorsese special, with The Irishman reviewed and a look at his best ever scenes

Rory Cashin

Greetings film fans!

Martin Scorsese?

Ever heard of him?

To be fair, it isn’t like he hasn’t made some of the greatest movies of all time (RagingBullMeanStreetsGoodfellasCasinoTaxiDriverTheDepartedandsonon!), plus he has been keeping his head down lately, not really making too much noise or anything.

Despite that, we’ve still dedicated this week’s episode of The Big Reviewski to Scorsese, as his latest crime epic The Irishman is finally hitting the big screen here.

The Reviewski gang – Eoghan DohertyRory Cashin, and Paul Moore – also look back over Scorsese’s career to date, each picking their individual favourite scene from the director’s impressive CV. Oh, and Scorsese pops up himself to talk about movies, straight from the London Film Festival. So… there’s that!

As if that wasn’t enough, the gang also review this week’s other new releases: adventurous biopic The Aeronauts and con-man thriller The Good Liar, as well as chatting to Sorry We Missed You screenwriter Paul Laverty (who previously scripted The Wind That Shakes The Barley).

AND we take a look forward at the all-star cast in murder-mystery Knives Out.

And there is some trouble with the pronunciation of the words “Dudes”.

Don’t ask, just watch and listen…
