It's this year's second movie to be inspired by the record-breaking 2004 Northern Bank robbery in Belfast, following the Éanna Hardwicke/Eddie Marsan-starring No Ordinary Heist.
As the plot synopsis for Chasing Millions states: "£26 Million was stolen, but that was only the beginning…"
Thrown together against their will, the two's investigation quickly "spirals into a series of wild and unexpected twists".
Chasing Millions is directed by the Irish filmmaker Stephen Burke, who made the acclaimed 2017 historical prison drama Maze.
Burke's earlier movie was about the escape of 38 Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) prisoners from Maze Prison in 1983 and starred Vaughan-Lawlor.
Shot in Dundalk in Co Louth, Chasing Millions lands in Irish cinemas on 9 October.

Chasing Millions, a new Irish crime thriller featuring Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Love/Hate, These Sacred Vows, the upcoming Silverback), is set for a cinema release very soon.
In the aftermath of the robbery, a determined young Australian detective (Madeleine Madden - Saccharine, The Wheel of Time) and a world-weary Belfast cop (Christopher Eccleston - 28 Days Later, Shallow Grave) try to track down the robbers.
