Talk about a star-studded cast.

It seems like there’s a new superhero movie to get excited about every month these days, but this one really does sound like it’s going to be a good ‘un.

After the success of Joker, fans will be buzzing to head back to Gotham for Matt Reeves’ The Batman, where Twilight star Robert Pattinson will play The Caped Crusader himself.

The rest of the cast that has been announced so far is equally exciting, with Paul Dano set to play The Riddler and Zoë Kravitz recently announced as Catwoman.

But it doesn’t stop there.

According to Variety, Ireland’s own Colin Farrell is in line to play The Penguin, a role which has been previously played by Danny DeVito.

The In Bruges man would make quite a handsome Penguin, if we may say so.

Meanwhile, Andy Serkis (Black Panther, The Force Awakens and Planet of the Apes) is in line to play the iconic role of Alfred Pennyworth, who was played brilliantly by Michael Caine in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

The Batman is expected to hit the big screen in June of 2021, so we have quite a while to go yet. That won’t stop us from getting excited about it though.
