It’s very likely that your friends have told you that ‘this series is great’ and ‘you have to watch this’ which is why we’ve decided to take a look at some of the best TV shows out there. This week it’s the hilarious ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’.

IASIP

1) What’s it about? : The story follows ‘The Gang’, a group of five depraved, narcissistic and shallow underachievers who run a crappy Irish bar in Philadelphia.

Each member of the gang – Mac, Dennis, Sweet Dee, Charlie and Frank – are absolutely horrible people who have no morals, decency or shame but you can’t help but root for them.

Some of the bizarre and hilarious situations that they get into will have you laughing until you can’t breathe. It’s the funniest show on TV and a sign of its brilliance is that The Gang are now entering their 10th year on air.

2) It’s almost like : A more depraved version of Seinfeld but ten times more dishonest, insane and hilarious. It’s wonderful.

3) It’s worth your time because: It might be the only show on TV where someone tries to get “ripped **t” drunk on a ham that’s soaked in rum.

4) Did you know? : IASIP is in its 10th season now, which is incredible given the rate at which shows are cancelled in the US, but there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to the on-screen chemistry, although you probably couldn’t tell from watching it.

In real life, Kaitlin Olson (Sweet Dee) is married to Rob McElhenney (Mac) while The Waitress (Mary Elizabeth Ellis) gave into Charlie’s (Charlie Day’s) constant stalking when she agreed to marry him also.

5) One episode and you’re hooked : The Gang Solve the Gas Crisis. The genius of the show though is that it’s not episodic. You can watch any episode out of sequence and still enjoy it.

6) If the show was a person then : It would be that friend of yours who shows up at your house and proceeds to do all of the following – get drunk, clog up your toilet, start a fire and then drag you out for a wild night on the town where you end up completely broken.

You hate this person but love them equally.

FYI, if you need some reasons as  to why Frank Reynolds is my depraved hero then here they are. Get on it.
