Dan Stevens, star of the new Beauty And The Beast, does a flawless Father Ted impression

Be our guest… and make a sequel to The Guest.

When we heard the news that Disney were remaking Beauty And The Beast, the beloved animated classic from 1991, we didn’t know what to do with ourselves.

Would the songs live up to the performances from the original?

Would Gaston’s biceps be as big and bulgy as we remember them?

WOULD PHILIPPE THE HORSE BE BACK TO REPEATEDLY SAVE THE DAY!?

Thankfully, our fears were allayed when we heard that none other than Dan Stevens, star of one of our favourite films from the past few years, The Guest, was cast to play the titular Beast.

Ahead of the release of Beauty And The Beast in Irish cinemas on 17 March, we caught up with Dan to chat about perfecting his evil laugh, flawless Father Ted impressions and he also had plenty of nice things to say about working with “gentle giant” Liam Neeson.

To be fair though, who’s ever going to say something unpleasant about Liam Neeson?

Excitedly, Stevens also revealed he’s up for making a sequel to The Guest, so if you haven’t seen it yet then you’re crazier than crazy old Maurice. Go watch it, you won’t be disappointed.

In the meantime though, enjoy…
