JOE brings you the latest trailers in association with the good folk over at Magnet.
A badass Denzel Washington and wise-crackin’ Mark Wahlberg are the latest in a long line of Hollywood cops to buddy up for an action comedy and, from the first few clips released, it certainly looks like an inspired combination.
2 Guns stars Washington as a DEA agent and Wahlberg as a NCIS agent who are reluctantly (obviously) forced to team up after realising that they’ve both been set up by CIA. The film also stars JOE favourite Bill Paxton popping up as a creepy looking bad guy. This can only be a good thing.
The trailer editors have definitely toned down the humour and ramped up the drama in this new clip and so, while not quite as funny as the first 2 Guns trailer, Marky Mark certainly does bring the comedy gold with a few crackin’ one liners towards the end.
It’s even got a quintessential cool-guys-walking-away-from-an-explosion-and-they-just-don’t-care-moment…
2 Guns will be released in Irish cinemas on 16 August
