Disney+ launch date for Ireland finally announced

Disney+ Ireland

We somehow have to figure out how to avoid spoilers online for the next FIVE MONTHS.

Are you excited about the new Star Wars show The Mandalorian?

We know we are!

It debuts on Disney’s new streaming service Disney+ in just a few days, from Tuesday 12 November, and early word has it that there are some major plot twists unveiled in the first episode alone.

However, that release date only applies to certain territories, one of which is not Ireland and the UK.

For weeks we’ve been left in the dark about when we might get our eyes on the service, and it was finally revealed: Tuesday 31 March, 2020.

That is a full 20 weeks later.

A total of 140 days in which we will need to avoid spoilers online. Which, in this day and age, if it happens, will be something close to a miracle.

That being said, The Mandalorian isn’t the be-all-and-end-all of Disney+. They’ll also be rounding up pretty much everything in their past catalogs under the Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic banners to date.

Plus, 2020 will see the arrival of new shows The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, and Monsters At Work (the Monsters Inc. spin-off), and we should all get those on the same day and date around the world.
