A very impressive collection of guests joining Tubridy on Friday.
We’ve got a very Ed Sheeran’y week this week, what with his new album Divide arriving, as well as his new Disney+ documentary, The Sum Of It All. If that didn’t give you your fill of the hitmaker, you’ll be happy to hear that Ed Sheeran will be chatting to Ryan Tubridy as part of an exclusive, pre-recorded two-part interview, which will include performances of some of his tracks and discussions about his strong Irish connections.
Belfast and Outlander star Caitríona Balfe will join Tubridy in the studio, talking about improving the working conditions for models and how she actually missed the infamous Will Smith/Chris Rock slap at the 2022 Oscars.
Ahead of the launch of new RTÉ One show Gaelic In The Joy, which sees a group of prisoners who are participating in a rehabilitation programme and prepare them for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play at Croke Park, that show will feature appearances by Dublin GAA star Philly McMahon, comedian Rory O’Connor (Rory Stories) and governor of Mountjoy Prison Edward Mullins. They’ll all be chatting to Ryan about their time creating the new series.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ireland Women’s National Team, Ryan will be chatting to some of the former football players who became first women to represent Ireland at senior women’s level. Additionally, Junk Kouture, the world’s largest sustainable fashion competition for young people, will see five designers showcase their fashion made from actual waste.
And last but not least, to celebrate the launch of her new track ‘The Boys’, Rachel Mae Hannon will debut on The Late Late Show with a live performance of the song.
The Late Late Show will air on RTÉ One on Friday 5 May at 9.35pm.
