“It’s blood money. You mean good money…”
Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Cardboard Gangsters.
Plot’s it all about?
16 June sees the release of the highly anticipated Cardboard Gangsters – the gritty Dublin crime drama from director Mark O’Connor (King of the Traveller, Between the Canals).
O’Connor, who has tackled complicated and topical Irish societal issues in the past, seems to be on top form once again here with a film about Irish gangland culture. Cardboard Gangsters sees a group of wannabe gangsters led by Jay (notable traveller actor John Connors) trying to gain power in the Darndale drug scene.
Joined by Fion Walton (Out of Here) and Kierston Wareing (Fish Tank) Connors looks to be in bloodthirsty form, punching, shooting and chainsawing his way to the top.
The gang, seeking “girls when we want, sessions when we want, drugs when we want” are eager to follow until the attention of the local drug kingpin lands Jay in hot water, leaving him with scores to settle and a war to win.
