Prime Video has just re-added a recent underseen crime movie gem

Holding an 84% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the film is from the writer of The Equalizer trilogy and stars an Irish actor.

The Irish acting legend plays Charlie Swift, a fixer and hitman with a problem. The man he was assigned to kill is missing his head.

This is an issue because Charlie must prove to the ruthless New Orleans mobster (Gbenga Akinnagbe - A House of Dynamite, The Thicket) who paid for the killing that the headless body is that of the intended target.

When Charlie later finds himself the target of an assassination, it sends him and Marcie on a "wild unpredictable odyssey".

Based on the novel Gun Monkeys by Victor Gischler, the book was adapted for the screen by director Phillip Noyce (Patriot Games, Salt) and writer Richard Wenk (The Equalizer trilogy). Fast Charlie also stars Oscar-nominee James Caan (The Godfather) in his final performance.

Thanks to the crackling chemistry between Baccarin and Brosnan, the pleasantly pulpy plot, the witty dialogue, and the dashes of dark humour, we'd heartily recommend the film to fans of B-movie crime thrillers.
