Star Wars fans will love this Irish film about deadly stormtroopers

Stormtroopers

We’ve got a good feeling about this…

Hats off to Cork rebel-turned-filmmaker-turned-stormtrooper, Micheál Fitzgerald, and his band of scruffy-looking nerf-herders who have created Stormtroopers, a Star Wars film which has taken the galaxy by storm.

Filmed in some truly stunning Irish locations across Cork, Waterford & Tipperary, Stormtroopers tells the tale of a platoon of deadly Galactic Empire soldiers who raid a remote Rebel Mining outpost with the help of an AT-AT Walker.

Appearing online on May the Fourth (nice) of this year, the short film has impressively racked up over 400,000 views and already won numerous awards including two at the recent 2018 Underground Cinema Short Film Awards.

Micheál and the team behind the film are already making big plans for 2019, so make sure to follow their work on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter and watch this space.

Space. Geddit? Because Star Wars is set in space. Comedy.

The Force is strong with Stormtroopers – a film for the fans, made by the fans…
