The final Game of Thrones season will have more death, blood and emotional torture than ever

Paul Moore

Game of Thrones Season 8

All men must die. We can’t wait!

Fire and Blood. Of course, they’re the words of House Targaryen but it also seems like a fairly accurate representation of what’s in store for Season 8 of Game of Thrones.

Emilia Clarke has already said her emotional goodbyes and as you can see from the cast wrap party, it seems like everyone in Westeros is determined to go out with a bang.

We already know that one of the battles in Season 8 is the biggest one that has ever been filmed for TV – yep, even bigger than the Battle of the Bastards – and that the script is brilliant but bound to break the heart’s of some fans.

The budgets are bigger and we’re promised the “greatest thing that’s ever aired on TV.”

Christ, is it 2019 yet?

Anyways, Sophie Turner is the most recent person to send the excitement levels into overdrive when she spoke with Gold Derby about Season 8.

Granted, she didn’t reveal any spoilers, but she certainly said enough to increase the hype.

“I can tell you that there’s definitely a coming together of people,” Turner said.

She adds: “Everyone is coming together to fight the impending doom. There’s a lot of tension between these little groups, battling for what they think is right. It’s Game of Thrones, so it’s going to be bloodier and more death and more emotionally torturous than all the years before!”

Winter is definitely here.
