First Dates explain one of the most important things when it comes to dating in Ireland

Alan Loughnane

You should lead with this question on every date you go on…

First Dates Ireland returns to our screens for the second episode of the current series on Tuesday night.

You may remember some of the best bits from the first episode including an age-old debate and Enda Kenny fooling absolutely nobody.

Tonight on the show, they will address one of the most important things when choosing a potential mate partner in Ireland. We are, of course, talking about ‘road frontage’.

Road frontage is land with access to the main road, and is often a measure of eligibility for marriage out the country and if you’re in Dublin, you may have heard it as an opener in Coppers.

Although we have to say, the bar man doesn’t do a great job explaining the situation to the slightly confused Maitre d’ from Croatia.
