The first Ghostbusters: Afterlife clip features Paul Rudd and some mini-Stay Puft men

Apparently it doesn’t matter what size he is, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man will always be evil.

We first covered the first trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife well over a year ago, back when the movie was due to arrive in cinemas in July 2020, back when cinemas could be opened freely and safely.

A lot has happened between then and now, but one thing that definitely has not changed is how excited we are to check out this long-awaited sequel, directed and co-written by Jason Reitman (Juno, Up In The Air), son of Ivan Reitman, the guy who directed the first two Ghostbuster movies.

The plot revolves around some weird goings-on in a small town, where a high school student discovers that they may be the descendant of one of the original Ghostbusters, while a high school science teacher (Paul Rudd) starts to investigate the paranormal activities occurring around their town.

Rudd is joined by new cast additions Carrie Coon (The Leftovers) and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), while original cast-members Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson are all said to be returning to their iconic roles.

It has been mostly quiet around the movie since the pandemic scuppered the original release plan, but the official Ghostbusters Twitter account today shared a brand new clip, which shows Rudd face-to-face with a group of mini-Stay Puft Marshmallow Men.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is currently scheduled to finally arrive in cinemas on Friday, 11 November this year.
