The funniest moments from Season 2 of Derry Girls have been released in a cracker supercut

Derry Girls Season 2

Perfect for anyone that misses Derry Girls.

Despite the fact that Derry Girls was robbed didn’t win the BAFTA for best scripted comedy – that honour went to Sky Atlantic’s Sally4ever – we’re going to focus on the positive news that Season 3 of Lisa McGee’s beloved comedy is being developed.

Since being released on Channel 4, the comedy has become a bona fide hit around the world with Season 1 winning countless awards and breaking records.

Season 2 managed to do the impossible; it was even funnier.

Anyone that thought second album syndrome was going to strike needed to wise up because the latest six episodes were absolutely cracker.

Right from the beginning, the gang hit the ground running because the Across the Barricades episode gave us one of – if not THE – funniest scenes of 2019.

You know what we’re talking about. Protestants keep their toasters in cupboards, Catholics watch RTÉ.

Iconic.

We’re delighted to say that the laughs kept coming though as we were treated to ‘funny scones’, rogue polar bears, Bill Clinton, Uncle Colm’s amazing stories, rock the boat, suitcases full of vodka, a cracking soundtrack, and more jokes than we can even remember.

To round things off, the wonderful finale let us know that being a Derry girl is a f**king state of mind.

If you need a reminder about how good Season 2 is, you can check out our interview with Lisa McGee here but in the meantime, Channel 4 have released two clips which feature the funniest moments from Season 2.

Enjoy!
