House of the Dragon will soon be open for business...
Hey, how's your tolerance for more Game of Thrones?
Let's be honest – that final season was extremely divisive. LOST levels of extremely divisive.
There are some of us – hello – who believe that the show lost track after the end of the fourth season. Others loved it all the way through. Game of Thrones was, undoubtedly, a pop culture phenomenon in terms of attracting a huge dedicated audience around the world.
Will the same appetite be there for the promised prequels, spin-offs and rumoured follow-ups, though?
That all remains to be seen. What can be witnessed right now, however, is the very first teaser for House of the Dragon, set to debut on HBO Max in 2022.
Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, HOTD tells the story of an especially difficult time for House Targaryen, one that set sibling against sibling and dragon against dragon.
As for the source of the conflict? Why, the Iron Throne, of course.
The cast includes Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans and Matt Smith amongst assorted others.
But enough stalling, you're here for the trailer.
"Dreams didn't make us kings – dragons did," notes a moody voiceover. Before that, you're treated to plenty of dark and brooding imagery, some occasional violence and plenty of familiar silver hair.
Are you not entertained? Check out the trailer below.
