Kit Harington’s reaction though…
In terms of growth and character development, it’s probably easier to list the Game of Thrones characters that didn’t change one bit from their first to last moments.
Joffrey was always a twat, The Mountain just wanted to kill things, Ser Alliser Thorne was always bitter, Hodor just had to hold the door (still too sad).
However, it’s very likely that every single actor on the show has had their lives changed forever because simply put, there was no other show quite like Game of Thrones.
In the cases of Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Isaac Hempstead Wright, and countless others, the show was their very first ‘big’ acting gig and the same can be said for loads of the crew.
Aside from being the biggest show in the world, Thrones has also had a massive role in developing the film industry in Ireland and during this recent reunion, it’s nice to see that the majority of the footage is from Castle Ward in Down.
As fans of the show will know, the beautiful location was the original home of Winterfell and featured in the very first episode when House Baratheon travelled North.
With the prequel currently filming in Belfast, this throwback is a timely reminder of where it all began.
We especially love Kit Harington’s ‘oh f**k’ reaction and the never-ending friendship between the Stark sisters, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner.
