A great new Oasis documentary is coming to Irish cinemas next month

Rory Cashin

It is released to celebrate their record-breaking concert’s 25th anniversary.

Believed by many to be some of the biggest concerts of that decade, Oasis played two nights at Knebworth Park on the 10th and 11th of August back in 1996.

Over a quarter of a million fans showed up for the concerts, with tickets for both shows selling out in less than 24 hours, breaking all previous box office records of a live music event in the UK.

To celebrate the 25 year anniversary, Oasis have released the trailer for Oasis Knebworth 1996 on their official social channels, a documentary looking at those landmark gigs, which will be released in Irish cinemas next month.

The documentary will be told entirely “in the moment” by the eyes of the fans who were there on the nights, framed around extensive and exclusive archived concert scenes, as well as footage from behind-the-scenes.

It will also feature interviews with band and concert organisers, giving an insight into the gargantuan undertaking for a band that had released their debut album just two years earlier.

Oasis Knebworth 1996 is coming to Irish cinemas on Thursday, 23 September, and you can pre-book your tickets right here.
