Great news Making a Murderer fans, Dean Strang will be giving a talk in Ireland

You won’t want to miss this…

It’s been mere weeks since it was announced that Brendan Dassey had his conviction overturned of murder in relation to the death of Teresa Halbach in 2005.

Fresh off the news, University of Limerick Law Society are hosting an Evening with Dean Strang in the University of Limerick Concert Hall (UCH) on 26 September.

Dean Strang, who defended Manitowoc native Steven Avery during his 2007 trial, will talk about the Making a Murderer series and also the failings of the criminal justice system. He will be joined onstage by Prof. Shane Kilcommons, Head of the Law School in UL, who will give insight and ask questions.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions on the night if you’re sitting in the lower section of the Concert Hall, but the questions must be submitted prior to the event. You can find more details on the event Facebook page here.

Tickets for the event will go on sale on Tuesday, 13 September at 9am from the UCH box office or you can go to uch.ie or call 061331549. Tickets cost €12 for students and €20 for the public.

We can only assume the discussion will be better than when Strang appeared on the Ray D’Arcy Show.
