Welcome to #TRAILERCHEST, where we're taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Greta.Plot's it all about?
A sweet, naïve young woman trying to make it on her own in New York City, Frances (Chloë Grace Moretz of Kick-Ass fame) doesn’t think twice about returning the handbag she finds on the subway to its rightful owner.
That owner is Greta (Isabelle Huppert of Elle fame), an eccentric French piano teacher with a love for classical music and an aching loneliness.
Having recently lost her mother, Frances quickly grows closer to widowed Greta.
The two become fast friends — but Greta’s maternal charms begin to dissolve and grow increasingly disturbing as Frances discovers that nothing in Greta’s life is what it seems.
The movie was filmed in Ireland (lots of people spotted the stars around Dublin back in late 2017), and is directed and co-written by Neil Jordan, best known for Michael Collins and The Crying Game.
Two-time Oscar-nominee and Irish legend Seamus McGarvey (Nocturnal Animals, Atonement) is on cinematography duty, so it really is a big Irish love-in behind the camera!
Starring: Chloe Grace Moretz, Isabelle Huppert, Maika Monroe
Directed by: Neil Jordan
Irish release date: 19 April 2019
