Handmaid's Tale Season 3

Blessed be the fruit. Don’t forget to set record.

Now that Chernobyl and Game of Thrones has ended, TV fans might be looking for their next binge-watches and fear not because there’s a plethora of great releases – and new titles – to get stuck into.

For Netflix viewers, Dead To Me, When They See Us, and Black Mirror: Season 5 are all worth a watch but with releases like Season 2 of Big Little Lies, City on a Hill, Designated Survivor: Season 3, Euphoria, Stranger Things: Season 2, The Boys, Euphoria, Glow: Season 3, The Terror: Season 2, Watchmen, and loads more to come, it’s going to be a good few months in front of your TV screens.

However, in terms of drama, there’s one show that can rightfully lay claim to being the biggest show around, The Handmaid’s Tale.

Fresh from the first episode airing in the US, RTÉ will be taking us back to the dystopian environment of Gilead with a double bill.

At the end of Season 2, June was reunited with Emily but at the last second, June decided to stay behind.

As for the plot of the first episode in Season 3, the official synopsis states that: “having made the dangerous decision to remain in the oppressive regime of Gilead and find her missing daughter, June now embarks on a bold mission which proves to have unexpected consequences. Emily and Nichole make a harrowing journey as they flee towards the safety of Canada.”

Set record because the first episode of Season 3 airs on RTÉ2 at 21:35 and it’s shortly followed by the next one.

Here’s a taste of what’s in store.
