“Where did I see these guys before?”

That was the question so many people were asking when they watched the Lords Of Strut take to the stage during Audition 7 of Britain’s Got Talent.

In case you missed it, here was Cork’s Famous Seamus and Sean Tastic 80’s-inspired performance:

Despite Simon’s objections, they made it through to the semi-finals, but you’re probably still asking yourself how they seem to familiar?

Well, it’s because The Lords Of Strut were one of the many, many highlights from Riot, one of the most critically acclaimed shows of last year’s Dublin Fringe Festival (where it went on to win Best Production), which also featured Emmet Kirwan of Dublin Oldschool and the Queen of Ireland herself Panti Bliss.

In case you missed it then, Riot will be returning to Dublin this July (full info here), while The Lords Of Strut aren’t the only Irish act bringing competition to BGT this year, as 22-year old and five-time World Champion Irish Dancer David Geaney took the stage with holographic versions of himself and blew the judges away.
