WATCH: Louis Theroux’s brand new documentary might be his weirdest and funniest one yet

Louis Theroux

Louis returns in a few weeks!

With Making A Murderer: Part Two consuming our entire social life, documentary fans won’t have to wait long until their next binge-worthy show arrives because as stated previously, Louis Theroux will return with a new series on 4 November.

The three-film series is called Altered States and it will “explore the unusual ways modern America deals with birth, love and death” and the changing laws that have transformed how the population experiences them.

In terms of the subject matter, Theroux will address polygamy, adoption and euthanasia.

Speaking about the new series, Theroux said: “I have always been interested in how people conduct the most intimate aspects of their lives.

“For this series we looked at the new ways Americans are approaching some of humanity’s oldest dilemmas: pregnant mums who feel unequipped to keep their babies and so pick new parents for them; the world of polyamory aka ‘ethical non-monogamy’; and people with debilitating conditions who opt to hasten their own deaths.”

Ahead of the release of Altered States, we’ve been given a brief teaser of his Love Without Limits episode and this really feels like a return to Theroux’s Weird Weekends series.

Nobody covers those weird and socially awkward events quite like Theroux.

FYI, we’re delighted to see that Louis is back clubbing!
