We would not have guessed who is reportedly the highest paid actor on TV
Nice work if you can get it...
There was a time when Charlie Sheen was the highest paid actor on television ever. Yep, he was getting $1.8 million per episode of Two And A Half Men, and considering he was in 177 episodes of that show... well, you do the math.
However, TV stars don't often make that much money any more, even though that record has since been surpassed, by both Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. They were apparently banking $1.9 million per episode for their Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show, but considering there have only been 20 episodes of that show so far, it works out as a much cheaper investment.
Since that show hasn't been on since 2021, all eyes have been on who is the highest paid actor on TV right now, and the answer came as a bit of a surprise. Initially, the top guess was Kevin Costner, who was being paid $1.2 million per episode of hit show Yellowstone, which is currently in the middle of its fifth season.
Hot on heels are the likes of Michael Keaton (for Dopesick), Elisabeth Moss (for Shining Girls), Jason Sudekis (for Ted Lasso), Chris Pratt (for The Terminal List), Zendaya (for Euphoria) and Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren (for 1923), who are all said to be on around $1 million per episode.
However, according to a report by Puck, the highest paid actor on TV right now is John Krasinski. The star of The Office and A Quiet Place is reportedly making $2 million per episode of Amazon's Jack Ryan series, which is set to end with its fourth season in 2023. If accurate, this would make him the highest paid actor on TV per episode ever. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
