Hugh Grant delivers the best joke of the Oscars ceremony
We didn't expect to hear THIS word on the Oscars stage...
It was a bit of a rollercoaster night, both for Hugh Grant, but also for the concept of "jokes". We'll start off with the latter, with most of the nights "jokes" told by Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel. They were almost entirely split between toothless jabs at easy targets - Babylon was a box office flop, for example - which the audience were mildly offended by, or a glut of jokes about The Slap, or how The Banshees Of Inisherin featured an Irish cast.
So, yeah, not great. But also not great was a red carpet interview between Hugh Grant and entertainment reporter Ashley Graham, who proceeded to ask Grant about his teeny tiny in role in Knives Out sequel, Glass Onion. It... did not go well.

The only way was up after that, with Grant appearing on stage with his Four Weddings And A Funeral co-star Andie McDowell, when they presented the award for Best Production Design (which eventually went to All Quiet On The Western Front). During the pre-award giving patter, Grant discussed the pros and cons of a good skin regime.
Detailing that McDowell has been using moisturiser every day for years and looks "Still stunning", before revealing that he doesn't use moisturiser, pointing at his own face, and saying "Basically a scrotum". It caused waves of laughter from the audience, and even McDowell needed to restart her line when beginning the listing of the nominations.
