Jessie Buckley is on the rise. Big time.

Irish actress Jessie Buckley has been included in the cast for the fourth season of Fargo.

Buckley will play Oraetta Mayflower in the series, in what is being described as a story of “immigration and assimilation and the things we do for money”.

Season 4 of Fargo is set in 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri, where two criminal syndicates, one Italian, one African-American, have struck an uneasy peace.

She has joined a strong cast for the show (including Chris Rock), which you can read more about here.

The Killarney native made a name for herself on musical reality TV show I’d Do Anything, before going on to become a must-see performer on the West End in London.

Buckley was nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award earlier this year, alongside fellow Irish actor Barry Keoghan.

More recently, she starred in HBO’s smash-hit Chernobyl as Lyudmilla Ignatenko, the wife of one of the first firefighters who attended the scene after the nuclear explosion.

We’d be surprised if her career doesn’t continue going from strength to strength after this.
