This Irish movie is looking for the ideal Irish man with a very particular set of attributes

Alan Loughnane

Are you the ideal Irish man? Time to prove it…

Inspired by Mel Gibson’s (he was in Ireland by the way) recent search for the ideal Irish woman for his upcoming film, these Belfast producers are looking for the ideal Irish man to feature in the film, GUARD.

It’s a boxing movie written and starred in by The Fall star Branagh Taggart which will start shooting early next year.

They’re looking for a male to play the role, but in order to be considered, you must have a very specific set of attributes.

They’d like to hear from men who are 5’5”- 5’8” in height with a waist size of 36-40”. Along with that they must have a chest size of 44-46” and fit size XL-XXL hoodie.

They also want natural hair colour that’s short in length and they’re firmly against any quiffs or mullets.

If you pluck or shave your eyebrows you’re not suitable for the role and you must have some tattoos… that are spelled correctly.

If you’re a man between 50-80 years of age that fits the above description, you’re urged to get in touch with www.guardshortfilm.com and you’ll be in with a chance of being in the background of the gym while Taggart’s character Katie trains.

This could be your big break…
