He covered everything from the political climate to donating his organs.
Ryan Tubridy invited Joe Brolly on to the red couch on Friday night to chat about his life, and the audience both in studio and at home were completely won over by him.
Just about every reaction to the interview seemed to start with “I know people don’t seem to like him, but…”
The barrister, GAA analyst and former player talked about just about every aspect of his past and present, but one particular chord was struck when Brolly brought up the story of the young homeless man he had taken under his wing.

While he usually courts some … how do we put this … contentious opinions, Friday night’s interview seemed to sway the population, with Twitter awash with love for him.
@JoeBrolly1993 as a lawyer, as a pundit, as a human being and the person you are is truly inspirational and educational. Utmost respect and look forward to your articles every Sunday. #latelate up the Dubs😊

Joe Brolly a top top man, donating his organs, taking in a homeless person and says he’s as proud as punch of him when he got a job in McDonald’s as if he was one of his own. Would love to spend an evening listening to the stories! @JoeBrolly1993 #LateLate
