JOE’s Favourite Foursomes – Anchorman’s Channel 4 News Team

It's a big week here at JOE HQ as we celebrate our fourth birthday and, to mark the occasion, we've decided to pick out some of our favourite foursomes.

JOE

Happy birthday to us…

It’s a big week here at JOE HQ as we celebrate our fourth birthday and, to mark the occasion, we’ve decided to pick out some of our favourite foursomes. Because “foursomes” and “fourth” are connected in some deep and meaningful way. Don’t ask too many questions.

As for a present, you’re getting us a pony for the birthday, right? Right.

Up first it’s San Diego’s finest, the Channel Four News Team. Why listen to JOE introduce the team though when the lads can do a much better job of it themselves. Everyone, say hello to Ron, Brian, Champ and Brick, each movie man bringing their own special something to the equation…

Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell)

The man is a legend, simple as. The film is called Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy after all.

The five-time (local) Emmy Award-winning journalist and awesome anchorman for the KVWN Channel 4 News Team, Ron Burgundy is always confident and immaculately turned out. Plus he loves leather-bound books, a glass of tasty scotch, and his Spanish-speaking dog, Baxter.

And the moustache, sweet Lord just look at that moustache…

Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd)

Expertly portrayed by Paul Rudd, the man who loves all things Irish, Brian Fantana is a real man’s man. Why’s that? Because not only does the sexy, stylish field reporter give names to all parts of his manly man-junk, but he also douses himself in his very distinctive odour of course, Sex Panther…

Champion ‘Champ’ Kind (David Koechner)

It’s hard to know what this cowboy hat-wearin’ sportscaster loves more; his BBQ sauce, his catchphrase “WHAAAAAAAMMY” or his comedy colleague Ron.

Something tells us that it might be Ron actually…

Brick Tamland (Steve Carell)

And you thought Martin King was a wacky weatherman…

They certainly don’t come much more bonkers than Brick as the foolish, innocent, trident-wielding member of the News Team, a man who is a complete movie moron and entirely woeful at getting lovely ladies to go out on dates with him…

And sure, we’ll admit that they’re all great individuals, but you really can’t beat it when the fabulous foursome are working together to either sing an afternoon ditty…

… or to just TO KICK SOME ASS!
