Andy King – not the hero we deserve, but the hero we need.

The internet can be a cruel place when it comes to meme culture. All you have to do is slip up once and you’re mocked for life.

But one man who the internet seems to absolutely love, despite becoming a worldwide meme, is Andy King.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Andy King is the man who was working as part of Fyre Festival, and offered to go above and beyond to try and save the day. What he offered to do, was to perform a sexual act in exchange for £175,000 worth of Evian water.

Luckily he didn’t have to (although he was willing), and he is now a superstar.

King says that he doesn’t want to know be known as “the blowjob king of the world“, and he’s right, he is so much more.

And it’s not just us who feel that way.

Jorma Taccone of The Lonely Island fame has said that he and the rest of the band are working on a musical that is loosely based on the Fyre Festival fiasco, and that he would love if King was involved.

Himself, Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Seth Rogen have been planning the musical for a while, and it sounds incredible.

Speaking about the project to The Daily Beast, Taccone said “I don’t want to divulge all the details but we’re figuring it out right now. You’ve seen the docs, right? It’s crazy. This is something that Akiva and Seth cooked up, and we’re figuring it all out right now.”

When asked if he would like King to be involved, he made his feelings quite clear, saying: “I was like, I would hire that dude for anything… Hire that dude. That guy is a champion.”

We couldn’t agree more.
