After announcing the return of Sherlock by recently renting a hearse, the BBC have now gone one better with the release of a short teaser episode, perfectly titled Many Happy Returns.
At this stage everyone and their Granny knows that Sherlock will be back on our screens on New Year’s Day and this teaser has only served to heighten the excitement surrounding the much-anticipated return of Bennyballs Cabbagepatch and Bilbo Baggins.
The new episodes will run for an hour and a half each, which means there are only three episodes in each series. The second episode will air on January 5, with the third and final episode being broadcast a week later on January 12.
It’s going to be a good New Year for Sherlock fans.
