Massive news for fans of Flight of the Conchords

It's business time

Carl Kinsella

Exciting news.

The “almost award-winning fourth-most-popular folk duo in New Zealand” are making a comeback.

Recently, Bret McKenzie had announced that there are plans for the pair to embark on a North American tour soon.

His partner, Jemaine Clement, confirmed this yesterday, saying that details of the tour should be announced by the end of the year.

But that’s not all. Clement went on to say that he and McKenzie have begun work on a Flight of the Conchords MOVIE, though it is currently in a very preliminary stage.

Asked about the prospects of a feature-length film, Clement said “We have actually started writing one. Who knows if it will ever be made, we’ve written some notes for some different film ideas. We’re not down to the stage where we’re going, “The film is going to be like this.”

Nevertheless, this is very exciting news for fans of the band, whose show left air all the way back in 2009.
