Creator of The Simpsons has a new Netflix show called Disenchantment coming soon

Rudi Kinsella

We’ll be watching this one for sure.

As a society, we should regularly thank Matt Groening for giving us The Simpsons.

He shaped the childhood of millions of people, and even though the show got worse as time went on, the early seasons are still regarded as some of the best pieces of television of all time.

A testament to the show’s quality is the fact that people still go back and watch episodes of The Simpsons that they’ve seen a number of times already. He also created Futurama, which is class, but doesn’t have the same fan-base that our favourite family from Springfield does.

If, somehow, you’re sick of watching the same episodes of The Simpsons and Futurama over and over again – we have some great news for you.

Matt Groening’s latest project, Disenchantment, is coming to Netflix on 17 August and we have a first look at some images from the cartoon here.

In Disenchantment, viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci.

Sounds interesting to us, and if it’s even half as good as The Simpsons, we’re in for a treat.
