George Clooney leads an ensemble cast.
It is Thursday, which means you may be looking for something to distract yourself until the weekend arrives.
Thankfully, there is a packed line-up of films on telly tonight.
Here are your options for the evening.
Ocean’s Eleven – Turner Classic Movies – 9pm
In our pick for tonight, gentleman thief Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and his 10 accomplices (including Brad Pitt and Matt Damon) plan to rob three Las Vegas casinos simultaneously.
A remake of the ’60s movie of the same name, Ocean’s Eleven is a stylish caper, enhanced by the effortless charisma of its ensemble cast and a sharp screenplay.
Often cited as being among the best heist films ever, it inspired two sequels and a spin-off.
Them That Follow – Film4 – 9pm
Kaitlyn Dever, Olivia Colman and Walton Goggins are among the cast of this 2019 thriller set in a remote community in the Appalachian region of the US.
Hellfighters/Flying Leathernecks – Great! Movies Classic – 9pm/11:25pm
A John Wayne double bill.
Top Hat/The Gay Divorcee – BBC Four – 9pm/10.40pm
Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers star in these two ’30s musicals.
Barnacle Bill – Sky Arts – 9pm
Alec Guinness stars in this ’50s comedy as an unsuccessful Royal Navy officer.
Speed Kills – Syfy – 10pm
John Travolta plays a wealthy speedboat racer who leads a double life that lands him in trouble with the law and drug lords.
Despite the channel it’s airing on, Speed Kills is a crime drama – not a sci-fi film.
It has also got a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, suggesting it’s probably best to avoid.
Sudden Death – ITV4 – 10.05pm
Jean-Claude Van Damme stars in this action thriller as a former fireman who takes on a group of terrorists holding the Vice President and others hostage during a hockey game.
Sudden Death is widely considered to be one of Van Damme’s best flicks.
World War Z – Film4 – 10.55pm
Brad Pitt must find a way to stop a zombie pandemic in this decent horror blockbuster.
Racer and the Jailbird – Film4 – 1.10am
If you’re still up, this Belgian thriller about the romance that develops between a gangster (Matthias Schoenaerts) and a racing car driver (Adèle Exarchopoulos) has a thrilling first half before becoming increasingly messy and melodramatic.
